As Elemental Excelerator grows as a company, internal and external processes need to be formalized, documented, and implemented. Layla is the process optimizer for EEx, finding the best ways to streamline and implement processes, so that time and resources are efficiently allocated.
Layla is a graduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, studying Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on community resilience. She holds her Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University, where she studied entrepreneurship and analyzed her colleagues’ business plans for launching their startups. In Hawaii, she served as a grants administrator for Sea Grant, a NOAA-affiliated federal program that focuses on coastal sustainability. Prior to that, she was a project manager at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California, where she managed projects relating to policy issues in education, the environment, and foreign affairs.
When Layla is not working on process management, she pursues her love for music. She is a singer-songwriter who has toured the world and continues to write songs for film, TV, and theater productions.
