Ryan helps leverage Elemental Excelerator’s experience finding and funding promising startup companies to support Free Electrons, a utility-driven accelerator focused on innovation and rapid deployment, where EEx serves as the Program Facilitator.

Prior to Elemental Excelerator

Ryan was working on major leverage points in the renewable energy space, through his work helping California communities become CCAs, as well as through work around carbon neutrality and carbon taxes. He has co-founded and worked at numerous energy and climate startups and non-profits.

Ryan received an MBA in Sustainable Business from Presidio Graduate School with a focus on strategy and a Bachelor of Science in English from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has lectured on Climate, Communications, and Cleantech at UC Berkeley, Presidio Graduate School, and CCA’s dMBA program.

Outside of the office

Ryan enjoys being active outdoors, creating art, and spending time with his wife Amanda Joy Ravenhill.
