As COVID disrupted how and where we get our food from, it also accelerated our transition to a food system that is more decentralized, especially in Hawaii. We have opened a door to a different future where consumers are connected to their farmers. Farm Link Hawaii (Cohort 8) is that connection. Since 2015, they have supported more than 200 farmers, and over the past 12 months added a direct-to-consumer customer segment that grew by 600% as demand for local produce purchased online through their platform increased.
Join us and Farm Link Hawaii CEO, Rob Barreca as we dive into their evolving journey. From expansion, to pivoting to a direct-to-consumer business model, to shifting the mindset of consumers in how they shop, Farm Link Hawaii discovered a way to support our island communities and the local agriculture industry, all while expanding and making a climate impact.
