Jared O’Shaughnessy
Partnerships Manager
In the spirit of going far together, it is critical that we build richer and deeper connections throughout the entire climate ecosystem, from the R&D labs and garages where innovation bubbles through the cracks, up to the biggest and most influential corporations whose moves are felt at a societal scale. Most importantly, these connections don’t just yield mutual benefits for both the corporates and the startups, but also unlock positive externalities for people and the planet as we steadily and equitably rein in climate change.

Jared supports Elemental Excelerator’s Corporate Partnerships program by helping to identify and facilitate valuable connections between our partners and startups across the climate tech ecosystem.
In addition to leading Elemental Excelerator
Jared served the City of Oakland as a Climate Corps Fellow, hosting community workshops across all districts to ensure Oaklanders’ voices and lived experiences were reflected in each climate policy proposal of the City’s 2030 Equitable Climate Action Plan. Outside of the community engagement process, Jared revamped Oakland’s greenhouse gas emissions inventory methodology and researched carbon-free buildings policy.
Previously, Jared worked across the Bay as a paralegal for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of California and then as a data analyst for the Defender Services Office.
Jared holds a B.S. with Honors in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley.
