As a member of the Investment Team, Maddie conducts due diligence, financial analysis, and market research, providing insights to inform Elemental’s investments and emerging opportunities. She is passionate about leveraging the immense power of capital to address and ameliorate historic inequities as well as deploy innovative solutions that combat climate change.

Prior to Elemental Excelerator

Prior to joining Elemental, Maddie was most recently at Enel North America as an associate development manager, responsible for managing the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. She formerly led policy and regulatory work for Enel’s EV charging business line and was the co-chair of Enel’s Women EmPower employee resource group. Previously, she conducted interview and survey-based research with government officials and community members in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where she researched the country’s renewable energy transition as a Fulbright Scholar. Originally from Seattle and living in Boulder, Colorado, Maddie received her bachelor’s degree in international relations with a focus on climate policy from Claremont McKenna College.

Outside of the office

Outside of work, Maddie loves any activity that puts her in the outdoors and in proximity to dogs — namely, trail running, backpacking, and biking. She incessantly consumes podcasts and is always looking for recommendations.
