Mira supports Elemental’s ongoing work to coordinate efforts across Hawaiʻi’s STEM education landscape. She helps to organize and develop Elemental Excelerator’s internship program, Hawaiʻiloa ecosySTEM Cabinet, and Root & STEM which is a living directory of STEM education programs in Hawaiʻi.

Prior to Elemental Excelerator

Mira worked as a Teacher’s Aid in a third-grade classroom. She received a B.S. in Anthropology and Geography concentrating in World Arts & Cultures, and a minor in Ethnic Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. There, she worked as a Research Assistant for the research lab Advancing Cultural Change, which examines Cal Poly’s culture and the lived experiences of underrepresented students in STEM.

Outside of the Office

Mira loves making music, dancing, and getting her hands dirty with clay.
