As Media Relations Director, Rena is responsible for identifying and working closely with a wide array of media experts, journalists and writers for storytelling opportunities. The means keeping Elemental’s brand and mission front-and-center to relevant stakeholders in the form of third-party content while overseeing and executing overall media strategy and portfolio and internal communications.
Prior to Elemental Excelerator
With a passion for connection and a penchant for storytelling, Rena is a media relations expert based in the Bay Area. She brings over a decade of public relations and marketing experience working with technology startups and established brands. She thrives on the challenge of turning the unfamiliar into the cultural zeitgeist.
Before joining Elemental Excelerator, she worked at Foundry as the Head of Network, creating and sharing valuable programming, content and other resources for its founders and executives. Before this, she ran her PR agency, Provocateur Media, before being acqui-hired.
Outside of the office
Outside work, Rena spends time trying to keep up with her very active daughter, listening to countless audiobooks, navigating her husband’s British humor, and spending time with her rescue dog, Pearl. She is known to occasionally bust a move on the dancefloor and take to the karaoke microphone.
