As Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, Rozie works across the Elemental platform to convene and find alignment with philanthropic partners and thought leaders whose passions and missions intersect with Elemental’s: to redesign the systems at the root of climate change through equitable solutions. She develops relationships and funding opportunities with domestic and international philanthropic networks, private wealth advisors, and donor advised funds and other partners, and maintains a growing portfolio of opportunities that support Equity & Access growth initiatives.
Prior to Elemental Excelerator
A Native New Yorker who has resided in Paris, Santa Fe, and now the Bay Area, Rozie has extensive experience working across the nonprofit spectrum as a strategist, organizational manager, and fund-developer. In her early career in media, she worked for magazines ranging from Paris Passion to Sports Illustrated, Mothering, and Oxygen.com. After a pivot to the nonprofit sector, she helped launch three startup nonprofits in Santa Fe. In 2012, she moved to the Bay Area, where she has held executive and fundraising roles in the arts, environmental, and social service sectors. A proud graduate of NYC’s Brearley School, Rozie earned a double degree in English and French from Tufts University, and completed her M.A. at the Université de Paris, Sorbonne. She and her husband are proud parents of two young adult daughters, and one adored Caribbean Potcake Dog, Pippa.
Outside of the Office
Rozie spends her weekends working on her passion project – Brave Sis, focusing on Women of Color in history as a means for wellness and allyship; doing online zoom classes with her dance fam; and hoping the Warriors will once again rise to champion caliber.
