Sam supports Elemental’s energy and mobility portfolio companies and partners. She is responsible for researching industry trends and climate priorities, building a pipeline of high potential start-ups, and problem solving with portfolio companies to ensure project success. Sam is passionate about building strong working connections between climate tech leaders and the communities most impacted by climate change.
Prior to Elemental Excelerator
Sam has over a decade of experience working at the intersection of emerging technology and the public good. Previously, she led market entry strategies at both JUMP by Uber and Superpedestrian to launch shared micromobility systems across the world. Prior to her work in mobility, Sam was a senior advisor for the Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer where she managed urban technology programs for the City of New York. She has also served as a Google Policy Fellow with the American Association of People with Disabilities and as a Research Fellow with The GovLab at New York University. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
Outside of the office
You can find Sam on the soccer field, at the dog park with her Border-Aussie pup, or around Brooklyn in search of delicious food with her husband and baby boy.
